The picture above is picture of the etching that is for sale. FULL SHEET with Graveure stamp, windmill seal, pencil signature and deckle edges. Unmounted and unframed.
The paper has never been cleaned. the colors are bright and perfect as applied by Icart in 1930. There is a time-darkened ring 1" from the image as shown in the picture where the mat was. Most collectors will frame this piece with 1/2 - 3/4" showing around the image which will cover this. Cleaning will remove the ring and usually does not affect the quality of the colors. Because the etching is so beautiful and untouched, I didn't feel it was necessary. If you, the collector feel differently, I can easily have it cleaned.
The actual etching will be sharper, more detailed and much better looking than this scan
